Dälek [gespr. “die-a-lek”] gibt's schon eine ganze Weile und bestehen in der heutigen Formation aus Rapper MC Dälek und Mike Manteca. Seit dem Signing bei Mike Pattons Label Ipecac Recordings nach der Jahrtausendwende veröffentlichte die Band Alben an der Schnittstelle HipHop, Noise und Ambient und tourte mit namhaften KünstlerInnen wie Tomahawk, Melvins, Jesu, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, DeLa Soul und Tool, deren Mitglied Adam Jones bei Precipices 'A Heretic's Inheritance' Gitarre und Synthies beisteuert.
